Rastafari.ai ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Rastafari AI Inc., a Delaware C Corporation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform at rastafari.ai and our related mobile applications.

By using Rastafari.ai, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Location (Ra Navigate): your device GPS position is used in real time, only when you activate navigation, solely to find nearby places and provide directions via Mapbox. We do not track location in the background and do not store location history on our servers.
• Microphone (Phone Booth & Pony Express Air): your microphone is accessed only while you are actively placing or receiving a call, or recording a walkie-talkie voice clip. Audio is transmitted to our calling provider (Twilio) to carry the call, or uploaded as a voice clip to deliver to the specific contact you send it to. We do not record or store call audio.
• Uploaded images & files: photos you share with Ra Oracle are processed only to generate a response to your request.
• Image prompts (Ra Creates): prompts are sent to our image generation provider to create your artwork.
• Email address or phone number when you create an account
• Name, shipping address, and email when placing orders through Shop Ra
• Messages and queries you submit to Ra Oracle, ChatGPT, and Grok when Multi-Model is enabled
• Contacts you save and messages you send through Pony Express Air

Information collected automatically

• Device type, browser type, and operating system
• Pages visited and features used within the platform
• Session data stored locally on your device (localStorage)
• Usage patterns to improve the oracle experience

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect payment card numbers directly — subscription payments are processed by Apple, and Shop Ra orders are processed by Shopify
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• Incognito Mode sessions are not stored or transmitted to our servers
• We do not record or store the audio of your phone calls

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve Ra Oracle AI responses using Anthropic's Claude API, and, when you enable Multi-Model, OpenAI's ChatGPT and xAI's Grok
• To process and fulfill Shop Ra orders via Shopify
• To connect voice calls and walkie-talkie messages via Twilio, and deduct the corresponding call credits from your account balance
• To send order tracking updates and account communications
• To personalize your wellness and oracle experience
• To send daily wisdom notifications if you opt in
• To comply with legal obligations

3. AI Conversations

Your conversations with Ra Oracle are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. Messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. We retain conversation history within your session for continuity of dialogue. We may use anonymized, aggregated conversation data to improve our oracle system and train future culturally-aware AI models. We will never sell individual conversation data.

Multi-Model: If you enable Multi-Model, your message is also sent to OpenAI (ChatGPT) and xAI (Grok) to generate additional responses shown alongside Ra Oracle's own reply. Each provider processes your message under its own privacy policy.

Ra Voice: If you enable spoken responses, the text of Ra's reply is sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. We do not store recordings of your voice, and audio is generated only to deliver the response.

Multilingual: When you converse in Patois, Amharic, Español, Français, Yoruba, English, or another supported language, your messages are processed the same way to generate responses in your chosen language.

If you use Incognito Mode, no conversation data is stored on our servers or your device beyond the active session.

4. Phone Booth & Pony Express Air

Voice calls placed through Phone Booth are connected using Twilio. Twilio processes call audio in real time to connect your call and confirms whether a call was answered and its duration, which we use solely to deduct the correct amount from your call credit balance. We do not record or retain call audio.

Text messages sent through Pony Express Air are delivered to the contact you send them to and stored so your conversation history is available across your devices, unless you delete the conversation. Walkie-talkie voice clips are uploaded, delivered to the specific recipient you choose, and are not shared with anyone else.

Account verification and password-related communications may be delivered via SMS through Twilio.

5. Shop Ra & Orders

Shop Ra is powered by Shopify. When you place an order, your name, address, and email are shared with Shopify for order fulfillment. Subscription payments made through the App Store are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details.

Most session and preference data is stored locally on your device via browser localStorage. Account information (email, phone), Pony Express Air messages, and call credit balances are stored securely on our servers using Supabase. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted between your device and our servers. We do not store payment card information.

While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use Incognito Mode for sensitive conversations.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your region — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — you may exercise the rights below. We do not sell personal information.

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data, including Pony Express Air messages and call history
• Correction: You may update your account information at any time
• Opt-out: You may opt out of push notifications at any time in device settings
• Incognito: Use Incognito Mode for sessions you do not want stored
• Portability: You may request an export of your account data

9. Children's Privacy

Rastafari.ai is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@rastafari.ai and we will delete it promptly. Account creation and paid memberships are intended for users 18 and older or for minors with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to save your session preferences, draggable icon positions, incognito state, and account status. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings, which will reset your session data.

11. International Users

Rastafari.ai serves a global community including users in Jamaica, Ethiopia, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Africa, and beyond. If you access our platform from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using Rastafari.ai you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Rastafari.ai after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify signed-in users of significant changes via email.
